What translation is used?
OUSB uses an adjusted version of the World English Bible (WEB) for the text. WEB is based on the American Standard Version (ASV) of 1911. Maccabees is from the Catholic Public Domain Version (CPDV).
Public knowledge gathered from 200 years of resources (see Bibliography) was organized and tested for reliability by the Helpers. New lists, unique to OUSB, were written for everyday people. Features are found inside the Bible text, footnotes, and appendixes.
